WANTED: Man who broke into car on Detroit's east side — Can you help police identify him? [PHOTOS]

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Investigators with the Detroit Police Department are hoping someone in the public can help them to identify a man wanted for breaking into a car.

The DPD's 7th Precinct on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect who allegedly smashed in a car window and stole some personal belongings.

It happened at around 11:40 p.m. on Friday, January 12, in the area of 1301 Orleans, near E. Lafayette St. on the city's east side.

Asking for tips in the case, the DPD also released a photo of the GMC SUV the suspect was driving.

Police did not say exactly what was stolen from the car.

The suspect is wanted on a charge of larceny.
