DETROIT (WWJ) – Sunday’s warm weather has canceled what was supposed to be the final day of ice skating at Campus Martius Park.

The skating rink opened ahead of the holiday season last fall and Sunday was the last scheduled day for skating.

Temperatures in the 50s on Saturday climbed even higher into the 60s on Sunday morning, leading to park officials canceling the final day, as ice conditions were not good enough for skating.

Spring doesn’t look like it’s here for good, however, as the unseasonably warm weather is expected to be gone on Monday.

The high temperature is expected to be 38, according to AccuWeather, with a slight chance of snow flurries.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s for most of the week.

Warm temperatures weren't the only thing grabbing weather headlines on Sunday -- wind gusts of up to 60 mph knocked out power to thousands of Metro Detroiters and even brought down a gas station awning in Livonia.
