WARREN (WWJ) -- A Warren man is behind bars in the Macomb County Jail, accused in a string of high-end auto thefts.
Deon Brooks, 24, was arrested on Tuesday, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, by Macomb Auto Theft Squad (M.A.T.S.) Detectives, along with the Sheriff's Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) and Warren Police.
The investigating began back in December of last year, when high end Cadillacs were being stolen from the CVO Lot in Warren.
Detectives linked Brooks to multiple stolen vehicles from this lot, valued at over $1.5 million, according to the the MSCO.
Detectives also seized several printers, retagging equipment, fraudulent SOS documents, Methamphetamine, jewelry, and a Chrysler Pacifica.
Brooks was arraigned Wednesday in 37th District Court on the charge of Conducting a Criminal Enterprise – a 20-year felony, with bond set at $2 million cash/surety.
He is also currently on bond through Romeo District Court for the same charge regarding several UDAA's from Washington Township dealerships in February of 2024.
The investigation is ongoing.
