(WWJ) Waterford police are asking for help in solving a 2018 murder.

Samantha Oriana Cosway, 24, died of a gunshot wound around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 near LaSalle and Telegraph near the Waterford-Pontiac border.

While the case has remained unsolved, investigators have developed new leads and remain optimistic that her killer can be brought to justice, Police Chief Scott Underwood said in a statement.

Using information from witnesses along with video from surrounding businesses and evidence obtained during the investigation, detectives believe Cosway was killed between 8:40pm and 8:46 p.m.   They are continuing to work with other law enforcement agencies to not only re-examine the case from the beginning, but to also explore new leads.

Investigators also believe there are witness(es) that either saw or heard something that evening who can help find the killer.

The Waterford Police Department, in conjunction with Crime Stoppers of Michigan, announced Tuesday that the reward for information has increased to $10,000.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Waterford Police investigator Jenna Mamola at 248-618-7425 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK UP.  Tips to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous.
