Wayne County shooting injures 2 people; Michigan State Police seek suspect

INKSTER (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are investigating a double shooting that happened over the weekend in Wayne County.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday on Middlebelt Road, between Hazelwood and Parkwood Streets, in Inkster.

Prelimninary investigation shows that one woman was grazed in the face by a bullet and a man was shot in the hip.

There has currently not been any updates on their conditions.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

Detectives will continue their investigation as search warrants for the apartments related to the incident have been obtained.

No other details were reported.
