Authorities seize weapons, thousands of pills and an allegedly stolen vehicle in Warren and Madison Heights: MSP

(WWJ) - Over 9,000 pills, multiple weapons and a vehicle said to be stolen were seized by law enforcement in Warren and Madison Heights, according to the Michigan State Police.

The County of Macomb Enforcement Team, with assistance from the FBI and Homeland Security, went to properties in Warren and Madison Heights to execute search warrants on June 5. According to a Tweet from the Michigan State Police Second District, “detectives seized 7,531 suspected Xanax pills, 1,899 pills which field tested as methamphetamine, three firearms and a stolen 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee” between the locations.

The Tweet said the street value of the drugs was approximately $38,000.

Along with the firearms, pills and Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2013 Lincoln MKZ and $10,226 in cash were also seized with “intent to forfeit,” authorities said.

The suspect was taken to jail pending arraignment, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
