DETROIT (WWJ) -- Brace yourself: it’s Taylor Swift weekend in Detroit.
As the first concert has come to an end Friday night, the city refreshes, takes a deep breath and prepares for the arrival of the next batch of Swifties on night two of the multi-day event that’s being described as “bigger than the draft.”
If you’re planning on going to the Saturday event of the sold-out Eras Tour shows this weekend, or you’ll be in Detroit for another event, here’s everything you need to know:
What Time do the Concerts Start?
Doors at Ford Field will open at 4:30 p.m., with a start time of 6:30 p.m. On Friday, Gracie Abrahams and girl in red opened the show, while OWENN and girl in red will open on Saturday.
In past shows on The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has taken the stage between 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Merchandise
Although merchandise was sold to thousands of fans on Thursday in advance of the weekend concerts, plenty of Swifties will still be purchasing the shirts and swag throughout the weekend.
Merchandise will again be available on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m., and can be purchased outside Ford Field by Gate 5 on Brush St.
Where to Park
Parking will be available for $50 in the Ford Field lots, though concert-goers may want to purchase their spots in advance.
Along with the Taylor Swift show, there will also be a Tigers game Saturday at 1:10 p.m., as well as another show Saturday at Saint Andrew’s Hall and Motor City Pride is taking place at Hart Plaza.
Parking around the city will fill up fast, so planning in advance is advised.
