WANTED: Driver of white van who hit woman walking to her car after leaving Detroit bar on Valentine's Day

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police are looking for a vehicle that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run on Valentine's Day on the city's east side.

According to investigators, a 28-year-old woman was had left a local bar and grill and was walking to her car — on Conant, near E. McNichols — just after 2 a.m. Saturday, when she was hit by a white van.

The driver fled the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries.

While police said they're investigating this case as an aggravated assault — implying the driver may have hit the woman on purpose — there's no information at this time as why she may have been targeted.

Detectives were still looking for the driver as of Tuesday, when the Detroit Police Department’released a photo of the van, asking for tips.
