Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell has led Detroit to its first playoff win in 32 years — Why did he succeed, when so many other regimes failed?
DETROIT (WWJ) - For the first time in 32 years, the Detroit Lions have won a playoff game.
Many people are wondering what's changed for the team. A lot of people are pointing to head coach Dan Campbell.
Some experts said Campbell is able to rally fans and the franchise behind the idea of "grit." He also knows the history of the players and is able to get them to work together as a unit to be successful.
WWJ's Tony Ortiz and 97.1 The Ticket's Jim Costa both say Campbell "tells it like it is." People know where they stand with Campbell.
The cohesion between Campbell, the Lions' General Manager and Owner also helps the team as a whole succeed in ways that were missing in previous years.
On this Daily J, WWJ's Brian Fisher explores what makes Dan Campbell a good leader, and how he succeeded, when so many others failed?
