DETROIT(WWJ) -- Gusty winds, heavy rains, isolated flooding, icy conditions and accumulating snow are all in the forecast with a nasty two-day storm on the way Metro Detroit.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory, in effect from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday — with gusts up to 40 to 45 miles per hour — and a Flood Watch in effect late Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon for Metro Detroit.
There's also a Winter Storm Warning, in effect from 3 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday for Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, St. Clair, Monroe, Washtenaw, and Lenawee counties.
Forecasters say it will start out on the warm aide, with a high around 50 degrees on Wednesday, before conditions with this storm evolve quickly over the next 48-hours.
"This storm is going to have many components...rain over to ice and then snow," said WWJ AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore.
DeVore warned of heavy downpours and damaging wind gusts into the evening in Metro Detroit, with flooding possible in pour drainage areas.
When temperatures crash down into the 20s, that's when roads could get dangerously icy.

NWS said there's a potential for freezing rain Thursday morning before transitioning to all snow Thursday afternoon-evening.
Peak snowfall is expected between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday, with blowing a drifting snow a concern into the night.
Forecasters warn that travel will be difficult, and that hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday PM commute.
As for how much snow we'll get, DeVore said the city of Detroit is expected to see around 6 inches of accumulation, while areas to the north and west of Detroit are looking at 6 to 12 inches.
Areas to the south of Detroit, near the Indiana and Ohio border, are expected to get 3 to 6 inches of snow. Although there is the potential for up to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation particularly for areas south of M-59, NWS said.
After it's all over, Friday will be dry and cold Saturday, with temps in the 20s, before warming back up above 40 degrees on Sunday.
