SOUTHFEI:D (WWJ) -- Southfield Police are investigating a murder overnight, and the killer is on the run.
Just before midnight Sunday, officers responded to a home on Bainbridge Dr., in a neighborhood in the area of 13 Mile Rd. and Southfield Rd.
"Southfield Police were called when they found a female who died at the scene from a gunshot," WWJ Newsradio 950's Charlie Langton reported.
Police have identified the victim — an adult woman — but they're not releasing her name or other details at this time.
Police said the suspect and the victim know each other, so this was not a random crime, but "an isolated incident."
Later Monday morning, the shooter remained at large. Authorities have not released a name or description.
