DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 27-year-old woman who allegedly fired multiple gunshots into her ex-boyfriend's house on Tuesday afternoon is facing many charges, including domestic violence and assault with a dangerous weapon.
At around 2:50 p.m. on Detroit's west side in the 9240 block of Broadstreet Ave. two Detroit police officers arrived at the home of a non-fatal shooting.
It is alleged that Brittni Rice of Owosso came to the home of a 26-year-old man that she formerly dated and fired multiple shots into his house while four adults and a two-year-old child were present, said police.
While she fled, Rice allegedly fired two more shots at the man when he was outside of the home.
Authorities said that she allegedly returned while the officers were gathering information about the incident and fired three shots at the location and then drove away.
She was then pursued by police, pulled over and arrested without incident.
No one was shot during the incident; however, one person was injured by wall debris during the shooting but refused medical treatment.
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Rice with eight counts of discharge in/at a building, one count of domestic violence 3rd offense, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and 9 counts of felony firearm.
Rice was arraigned in 36th District Court Friday and received a $500,000 cash bond -- if she can post bond, she will be under house arrest with a GPS tether.
Her probable cause conference is on Dec. 29 and her preliminary examination is on Jan. 5.
