Just like a few days last summer and in 2023, smoke from wildfires burning in Canada can cause hazy skies in Western Pennsylvania the next couple of days.
The PA Department of Environmental Protection says smoky skies are possible through the weekend due to out of control wildfires in the providence of Manitoba.
The DEP says they are monitoring the smoke and are urging people with respiratory issues to stay aware.
They add while an air quality action day is not expected, you may see hazy skies and reduced visibility, “especially in the southwestern part of the Commonwealth.”
The Manitoba wildfires have forced the evacuation of over 17,000 people, so far.
