President Joe Biden’s family, “their business associates, and their companies,” received $10 million from “foreign nationals’ companies,” according to a 36-page memorandum released Wednesday by the GOP-led House Oversight Committee.

This report alleged that Biden family members received these payments while Biden was vice president and after he left public office. It included information recently received from subpoena returns.

Per the memo, it also “serves as a response to misinformation spread by the President, Minority Members, and their allies regarding the contents of the First Bank Records Memorandum,” released in March. That memorandum primarily covered an alleged wire transfer of money from a Chinese company to Biden family members through a company called Robinson Walker, LLC.

“The Committee has subpoenaed four different banks and received thousands of records in response,” said Wednesday’s report. “The Committee’s bank subpoenas were tailored to specific individuals and companies that engaged in business activities with Biden family members and their business associates.”

In the report, House Republicans also allege that the Bidens attempted to conceal large financial transactions and that “Chinese nationals hid the source of the money.”

“The Bidens’ foreign entanglements are breathtaking and raise serious questions about why foreign actors targeted the Biden family, what they expected in return, and whether our national security is threatened,” said Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chair of the House Oversight Committee. “We will continue to pursue additional bank records to follow the money trail and inform legislative solutions to prevent this type of corruption. Americans deserve answers, transparency, and accountability.”

However, House Democrats continue to dispute the claims.

“Since launching their whimsical ‘investigation’ into the Biden family, Republicans have failed to find any evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden,” said a Friday tweet from Oversight Democrats.

“Once again Chairman Comer has failed to provide factual evidence to support his wild accusations about the President,” said a statement from Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability. “He continues to bombard the public with innuendo, misrepresentations, and outright lies, recycling baseless claims from stories that were debunked years ago. Unable to implicate the President directly, Committee Republicans have resorted to using cherry-picked bank records, misrepresentations about confidential and unverified bank reports known as SARs, and baseless conspiracy theories to attack the President’s family, including his grandchildren.”

Additionally, Ian Sams, White House spokesman for oversight and investigations, has refuted the claims made in the report.

“Lost in the flood of his false claims and bizarre innuendo is the fact that [Comer] – in his lust to attack President Biden – keeps calling Ukraine and Romania ‘adversaries.’ They are, in fact, both longstanding and critical U.S. allies,” he said in a tweet.

House GOP members plan to keep pursuing the investigation into Biden’s family, according to the memo.

“Committee staff will continue to release memoranda to Majority Members as new information is uncovered,” it said.
