Police responding to a 911 call about an unresponsive man found his body, and more than 200 reptiles in an Aliquippa home.
The alarming discovery was made Tuesday afternoon inside a house on the 1300 block of McMinn Street.
Code enforcement officer Jim Bologna told KDKA-TV the reptiles included an alligator. That outlet reported that more than 150 reptiles were found. WTAE said there were over 200 and that the collection included a crocodile.
“There was a cobra in there, a rattlesnake in there, black mambas,” said Bologna.
Besides the remains of an unidentified 23-year-old man, officers found a 3-year-old girl in a high chair near a poisonous snake.
The child and four adults moved into the house recently.
Police say they were selling the reptiles, which are now at an exotic pet store in Ambridge.
