Former President Donald Trump is slamming Fox News' morning talk show "Fox & Friends" for not bragging enough about his polling numbers.
Trump called the program "terrible" on Monday after one of its hosts questioned his poll numbers.
Trump launched his attack on his Truth Social platform, writing, "@foxandfriends just botched my poll numbers, no doubt on purpose. That show has been terrible — gone to the 'dark side.'"
"They quickly quote the big Turning Point Poll victory of almost 60 points over the number two Republican, and then hammer me with outliers," he continued. "Actually, almost all polls have me leading all Republicans & Biden BY A LOT."
According to the Turning Point USA poll over the weekend, 78.7% of respondents said they would choose Trump as the winner of the 2024 Republican presidential primary, compared to 19% who chose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Refencing the poll, "Fox & Friends" host Steve Doocy said the results were "a little different than a couple of other polls we've seen over the past couple of weeks," before rattling off others that show DeSantis with the edge, The Hill reported.
"It's like the young people who are activists at that [Turning Point] event like the former president. But looking at these other polls, different answer," Doocy said.
As the screen graphic announced, "Nearly 89% Would Pick Trump for 2024," co-host Brian Kilmeade added, "If you look state by state, Ron DeSantis is showing tremendous strength in New Hampshire, Michigan and Florida."
Trump also took a dig at former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who sits on the board of directors for Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News.
"RINO Paul Ryan, one of the weakest and worst Speakers EVER, must be running the place," he said.
Neither Ryan nor representatives for Fox have commented on Trump's remarks.
