PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The FDA has issued a public health alert for a popular fruit pouch because it may contain high levels of lead.

The agency is advising parents and caregivers not to purchase WanaBana Apple Cinnamon Fruit Puree pouches.

All lot codes and expiration dates are impacted. The manufacturer has agreed to voluntarily recall the product.

Experts say exposure to lead could result in a number of symptoms, including headache, vomiting, fatigue, tremors and weight loss.

If the snack is consumed, a blood test is recommended.
