DETROIT (WWJ) -- One person is recovering after an overnight freeway shooting in Detroit.
According to Michigan State Police, troopers are investigating after shots were fired in the area of M-39, the Southfield Freeway, and Joy Road.
MSP said one person was shot, but was "alive and alert" when taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Troopers closed the freeway around 9 p.m. Thursday to search for evidence, but all lanes had reopened by around 7 a.m. Friday.
Police said they were continuing to search for a suspect.
No additional details, including about the person who was shot, possible, a motive or what led up to the shooting, were immediately released.
