Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen wants to make it clear: He supports his wide receiver Stefon Diggs and has his back.

LISTEN LIVE TO WGR:

"Internally we're working on some thing, not football-related," Allen told reporters Tuesday just after the team wrapped up their first of a three-day mandatory minicamp. "'Stef', he's my guy, I f****n' love him. He's a brother of mine. This does not work, what we're doing here, without him."

Diggs is in Western New York, showed up for the team's medical evaluation on Monday, and was even at the facility Tuesday morning before leaving prior to practice.

The 29-year-old did not attend any of the voluntary workout sessions over the first eight weeks of the offseason. However, all three workouts this week are mandatory, and Diggs is subject to being fined for being a no-show.

Allen didn't indicate directly what the issues are with Diggs, but repeated the fact he's got his back no matter what.

"I've got no doubt we will figure out what's going on," Allen said.

The quarterback spoke for about 13 minutes after practice and answered question after question about the absence of his star receiver. He continually supported him, saying several times that he loves Diggs.

"There are things that I can do better to help out with this process, and try to get him back here and be the Buffalo Bill that he's meant to be," Allen added.

Allen says he doesn't believe there are any personality issues between him and Diggs.

"There are some things that could have gone better last year, and didn't. I think, we're just, as an organization, maybe not communicating the right way with everything," Allen suggested.

When asked if Diggs wants to remain a member of the Bills, Allen immediately answered, "yes."
