Mary Babers-Green, the outspoken mother of Warriors forward Draymond Green, deactivated her lively Twitter account Tuesday after defending her son's actions earlier in the day.
Draymond is still taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team after punching teammate Jordan Poole during a practice last week.
While Babers-Green's tweets have since been lost to the internet void, Jack Winter of Clutch Points saved some screenshots of her strong defense of Draymond.
"That wasn't a Sucker punch," Babers-Green wrote. "Dray didn't aggressively go to Poole. His hands were down. Man to Man you over to talk (to ask what's up, what you say)! Got shoved and reacted.. End of story!"
In implying Poole was also responsible for the altercation, Babers-Green used a similar line of defense that Draymond alluded to in his press conference with reporters this past weekend, when he said, "an argument requires two people. Not just one."
Babers-Green also went back and forth with some fans before announcing that she was about to delete her Twitter account, via Clutch Points.

It's too bad that we lost Babers-Green's perspective on Twitter, because she always was honest and brought the hot takes. When it comes to defending her son, she didn't back down in this case.
We'll have to see if any awkwardness will spill over to the ring ceremony before next Tuesday's season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers, as Draymond admitted he created "an elephant in the room" for both the Green and Poole families that night.
