Dr. Michael Obeng is the first Black plastic surgeon to practice in Beverly Hills and he’s reportedly worth $8 million dollars. Now, he's in the news for offering his services for free to a Louisiana teacher made infamous for using Gorilla Glue as hairspray.
TMZ reports that Tessica Brown was under a light anesthesia during the procedure. Obeng combined medical grade adhesive remover, aloe vera, olive oil and a dash of acetone.

Brown has suffered for a solid month trying to get her hair unstuck. Most recently, she went to the ER for help, only to find that the acetone treatment she was given burned her scalp and didn’t resolve the issue.
Now Obeng has offered to help her gratis, using medical-grade glue remover in a procedure that could take three days, TMZ said.
Brown has taken Obeng up on his generous offer and will fly to Los Angeles Wednesday. The procedure is estimated to cost $12,500
“Bad, bad, bad idea,” Brown said on a TikTok video which had been seen more than 20 million times.
Gorilla Glue tweeted that they were sorry about her “unfortunate incident” and they “wish her the best.”
