St Patrick’s Day parades have been canceled, but there are still a number of ways you can celebrate this weekend. Several businesses are hosting celebrations, just without the floats, to help salvage some of the revenue they are losing since the public events have been canceled.
Tonight, Gattuso’s Neighborhood Restaurant and catering in Gretna is having a block party at 6 p.m. with live music by Flow Tribe at 7 p.m.
“The party will start at 6 p.m. You can bring your chairs and we are a family-friendly restaurant, so bring the kids. Food and drink specials will be available, the band will play from 7-10 p.m.,” said Kacy Ronquille.
Uptown, Tracy’s on Magazine Street gets started with their block party Saturday morning, around 9 a.m., “ We will have the green beer, Jello shots, and of course corned beef and cabbage and our roast beef po-boy” said Tracey’s owner Jeffery Carreras.
Be safe, bring your hand sanitizer, keep your distance from others, and you can still have a good time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
