The Steelers traded Brown to the Raiders this offseason. That trade came after rumors that the Bills were interested in a trade, but the trade talks ended when it became apparent Brown had no interest in playing for Buffalo.
Oakland released Brown after a drama-filled training camp, after which he was picked up by New England. Brown played in one game for the Patriots, making four catches including a 20-yard touchdown, in a September 15 shutout of the Miami Dolphins. After that came allegations of sexual assault, and the Patriots released Brown.
The Saints brought Brown in for a workout late in the season, but did not sign him. Brown later accused the team of bringing him in as a "publicity stunt."
The NFL has not concluded its investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Brown, and whether or not he faces any league discipline, including suspension, remains up in the air.
