The Bourbon Street Drinkery was grooving over the weekend when the band broke out with the L'il Nas X-Billy Ray Cyrus hit "Old Town Road".
As the bar started to move with the music a guest dropped in unexpectedly. Ace, the New Orleans Police Horse, stuck his head in the door and started to groove with the beat.
Drummer C.J. Edwards told WWL-TV Ace must've heard one of his favorite tunes. Edwards said it appeared like Ace was ready to rush right in an hit the dance floor.
The 17-year old Ace has been part of the equine patrol since 2006. His partner, Officer Joseph Jones patrols the French Quarter aboard Ace frequently. He's also a remarkable dancer, as this NOPD Tweet shows.
Our Mounted Horse Ace is quite the showman! Today he danced to the Cupid Shuffle, to show the students at Covered Kids Camp just how good of a dancer he really is. #FourthDistrict #CommunityPolicing #NOPDNews pic.twitter.com/Z49Wu7Wg7w
