An electrical infrastructure engineering, design and construction management company is building its new corporate headquarters in St. Tammany Parish.
Gov. John Bel Edwards and Ampirical Solutions LLC President Matthew Saacks said recently that the company will create 400 new jobs at the facility near Covington over the next decade, with an average annual salary of more than $85,000 including benefits.
Ampirical anticipates completing the three-story corporate headquarters building, at Louisiana Highway 21 and Interstate 12, at the end of 2020.
In September of this year, New Orleans CityBusiness magazine honored Ampirical at its 17th annual Best Places to Work in New Orleans event.
The Best Places to Work program is an annual award competition that ranks companies on two parameters. The first part is based on an extensive nomination form, which includes providing information regarding salaries, benefits, retention levels and employee advancement within a company. The second part involves an anonymous survey given to employees to assess the company’s workplace culture.
This might be the first year Ampirical has been recognized as one of City Busniess’s Best Company’s to work for, but according to Ampirical employees, it’s not a surprise to be named on the list. “Ampirical is always reaching out for feedback from staff on how to make this a better company,” said Brandi Newman, a Senior Drafter. “They listen and implement the changes that are suggested.”
