Stocks finished with solid gains for a second-straight session, thanks to optimism about the start of the U.S.-China trade talks.
The Dow Industrials rose another 150 points, the Nasdaq Composite tacked on 47, and the S&P 500 added 18.
Oil futures notched a solid rebound today in the wake of news that OPEC’s secretary-general indicated the group is willing to consider deeper production cuts to ensure a tight global market. November crude rose 96 cents, or 1.8%, to settle at $53.55 a barrel.
