An early evening armed robbery took place in Algiers Tuesday.
The crime took place at an apartment complex on Garden Oaks Drive between Memorial Park and Seine Streets.
A person was approached by a man with a gun who demanded the victim's keys.
The victim refused to surrender his keys and struck several times by the assailent with the gun and fists.
Ultimately the victim relented and turned over the keys.
The assailent made off with the victim's car.
