The organizer of the Blackout and Gold Second Line Sunday afternoon in the French Quarter is hoping Who Dats will lend her a hand.

Kim Bergeron, organizer of that event, says she needs some financial help.

"We're looking for a few good fans to step up and help us make this happen," says Bergeron. "So many people said they wanted a parade so, on a wing and a prayer, I went through all the hoops to make it happen. But, but I'm hoping Saints fans will step up and help support this."

She says she's about 3 thousand dollars short of the money needed to cover the event's expenses.

"The money's covering all the costs of the police details, the permit fees, the entertainment...we had some printing expenses for the sponsor gifts, So, it's a little bit of everything involved in the expenses. Anything over ten thousand dollars that is raised goes to non-profits."

Bergeron says she'll have to foot the bill herself if she doesn't get some help.

But, she says the event will definitely take place.

"Well, it looks like I'm going to be paying for a parade for the whole city."

Who Dats are asked to donate as little as 10 dollars at the parade website to support the event.
