Five people are dead from a pair of shootings in New Orleans Thursday night.
New Orleans Police Department reports it began with a single shooting on Canal Street near the intersection with LaSalle around 9:34pm.
The victim was found bleeding out in the street when officers arrived.
Four minutes later, four people were shot near Dillard University, on Rayne Drive near Van Avenue in the Columbia Parc.
Three victims died at the scene, a seriously injured victim was transported to a hospital where they later succumb to their multiple gunshot wounds.
Police do not have any suspects in custody or any motive or information about the crimes.
Investigators are pouring over the crime scenes looking for clues and questioning potential witnesses.
