A driver towing a motorboat lost his load on I-10 near Loyola in Kenner early Monday afternoon in Kenner.
According to Lieutenant Mike Cunningham with Kenner Police, the boat slid off its trailer while travelling on i-10, skidded off the roadway, sailed through a fence and wound up in a canal.
Drivers on I-10 in both directions slowed to look at the boat as it was floating, damaged and unmanned, in the canal.
Lt. Cunningham says the driver of the truck towing the trailer was cited by Kenner Police for not having the load properly secured. No one was injured in the incident and traffic was not adversely effected.
