Some major institutions -- Ochsner-Baptist hospital and the Audubon Zoo, are smack in the boil water zone that resulted from a major water main break Uptown.
The timing couldn't be worse for Audubon Zoo -- the Zoo to Do fundraiser is tonight. The zoo's Lauren Conrad says they're on top of it.
"Audubon Zoo is taking all safety precautions this evening for our fundraiser," she said. "Our restaurants have been notified and we are making accommodations by providing hand sanitizer and bottled water for our guests."
It's not like this is anything new: there have been multiple city-wide boil advisories in the years since Hurricane Katrina. Ochsner Baptist says it has switched to bottled water where necessary, and they're making hand sanitizer available as well.
