The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation presents the 13th annual Cajun-Zydeco Festival at Armstrong Park.

"Headliners include Grammy winners Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Chubby Carrier, The Lost Bayou Ramblers and Bruce Daigrepont. So, it's an exceptional lineup," says spokeswoman Kia Robinson.

"And, Amanda Shaw has a very interesting set scheduled for Sunday. 'Joie D’Louisiane,” is Cajun French singing and traditional Cajun fiddling." stylings and Cajun French singing," Robinson says.

"Of course, the food...the Cajun cuisine, is the other star of the show. We've got local food vendors presenting their take on Cajun cuisine. So, we've got soft-shell crab po-boys, crabmeat beignets, boudin, crab, shrimp, fish, alligator...all the like will be there this weekend."

The free event is the only festival that features exclusively Cajun and zydeco music.
