New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says there is good news in the Louisiana Health Departments numbers on COVID-19 as it relates to the city of New Orleans.
"New Orleans remains a leader in this country as it relates to cases on a decline, as well as our deaths, which is a big, big sign that we're moving away from community spread."
The mayor said as testing continues, more tests are coming back negative.
"One indicator that we have noticed base on the level of testing, but also as it relates to the processing of those tests, the majority are coming back negative," she said.
While New Orleans is not allowing some of the things included in the state's most-recent stay-at-home order, including outdoor dining at restaurants and curbside pickup for non-essential retailers, the mayor said the city is on the right trajectory.
