The New Orleans Police Department has announced a change to juvenile curfew hours.
Effective Sunday, September 1st, the City of New Orleans juvenile curfew hours will change from the summer schedule to the following schedule:
Curfew for persons under 17 years of age, school attendance established:
Sunday-Thursday: 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following day.
Friday-Saturday: 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following day.
For persons under 17 years of age, school attendance established, who reside in the French Quarter (area bounded by both sides of the following: Canal Street, North Rampart, Elysian Fields Avenue and the Mississippi River):
Seven days a week: 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following day.
This curfew schedule will be in effect starting on September 1, 2019 and will run through May 31, 2020.
