The Resilient Louisiana Commission, set up by Gov. John Bel Edwards to map out how to ease the business economy back to life, holds its first meeting this afternoon.
Before the governor's social distancing orders are lifted, state leaders will need some information, said Resilient Louisiana Commission co-chair Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser.
"What can we do within the criteria of that phase one," said Nungesser. "For instance, is 50 percent of what the fire marshal allows acceptable?".
Nungesser said they want to talk to business owners about just how few customers it will take for them to make money, and he said they also need to talk about what it will take to make people feel comfortable to go out and spend, so there will be customers as businesses reopen.
