The Saints last won the NFC Championship Game in the 2009 season. After Garrett Hartley's 42-yard field goal to win the game in overtime, Coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees hoisted the George S. Halas trophy, awarded to the NFC winner.

The trophy that Brees held over his head (the version seen here was won by the New York Giants in 2000) doesn't look like the one Saints fans hope to see in a post-game celebration this Sunday. The NFL changed its conference champion trophies in the 2010 season, to a silver football-shaped object designed by Tiffany & Co., which also crafts the Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to the Super Bowl champions.

Saints fans and players likely don't care what the trophy looks like, or if a trophy is even awarded at all. The ultimate goal is another Lombardi, to go alongside they one the team won in Super Bowl XLIV.
