The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is a smoke-free building, and not even the players who just won college football's national championship are an exception, apparently.
Quarterback Joe Burrow and other players enjoyed a few celebratory puffs back in the LSU locker room, but according to a
report cited in The Advocate, a police officer working the game ordered the stogies to be put out.
Apparently thinking it was a joke, a few players laughed at the directive, according to the report. That's when the officer said anyone caught smoking could be arrested.

January 14, 2020 Even after another officer said it was okay in the locker room, the first said that according to his commander, smoking remained forbidden. The situation must have been defused somehow, because no one was arrested.
