New Orleans police say a suspect is in the hospital after forcing his way into a Central City home with a gun.
"About 2:55 a.m., the suspect... arrived at the residence of the two victims (an adult male and adult female) armed with a gun and allegedly forced his way inside the location," Public information officer Aaron Looney explained.
He says the man inside the home and the suspect began to struggle over the gun. The only person shot, however, was the suspect, Bradford Crier.
"During the struggle, Crier was reportedly shot in the shoulder and thigh by the male victim."
Looney says EMS took Crier to the hospital.
"Upon release from the hospital, Crier will be booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery."
It happened in the 2300 block of Jackson Avenue.
