New Orleans Police have arrested a woman they say tried to kidnap two people, then chased them down and crashed into their car.
It happened Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.
"As victim was leaving medical visit with his mother, woman sitting in front of location told victim and mother multiple times to get in the car, including portraying herself as Secret Service," according to police reports.
The 15-year-old boy and his mom refused to go with her, so police said she chased them down.
"Victim and mother fled scene in acquaintance’s vehicle. Subject followed, rear-ended victims’ vehicle multiple times and hit a parked car."
Investigator says 23-year-old Harley Himber then left her car in the street and began acting irrationally.
"Subject ran to Dauphine Street, where she was apprehended."
Jail records show Himber was allegedly drunk. Charges include DWI, attempted kidnapping, hit and run and more.
