Louisiana logged another 26 more deaths due to coronavirus overnight.
So far, 1,670 have succumb to the disease since the outbreak and subsequent social distancing mandates came into effect.
The latest numbers show 26,773 people have come down with the illness, an increase of 261 since Saturday.
1,701 are hospitalized with 265 on ventilators.
Over 12,000 of the states 26,000 cases are in Orleans and Jefferson Parish.
Orleans Parish logged another seven deaths overnight with 45 new cases reported.
Jefferson Parish reports four new deaths and 52 new cases.
The weekly count of recoveries is 14,927 with 21 days having passed since a patient testing positive for the virus has died.
