Covington Police reports Cateline and Alexsander Popiolek were arrested and booked on a count of cruelty to a juvenile and drug charges. According to the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate the infant child was taken to hospital for treatment related to being left in the vehicle. The child is expected to recover. It began with police responding to a home on Lobella Alley between Buckeye and Emily Diamond Streets. Police suspect the child was left in the car around 11:30pm Wednesday night. The child was found in the car 12 hours later. Police report the couple spent the night smoking marijuana as their child languished in the back of their vehicle.
