It’s going to be a few more days before casinos open in New Orleans. The Louisiana Gaming Control Board says casinos and video poker parlors will be allowed to reopen on Monday, May 18, under certain guidelines. But Mayor LaToya Cantrell says video poker and casinos in the city will not open in phase 1.

People are starting to fly again...just a bit.  Traveler throughput at TSA checkpoints was just over 215,600 on Monday, up from 163,700 last Monday. It was the second straight week of improvements, but still down 91% from a year ago.  

Crude oil is down on concerns about a possible second wave of coronavirus cases in countries easing lockdowns, which could prompt renewed movement restrictions, while industry data showed U.S. crude inventories are still rising. The concerns overshadow a further call by Saudi Arabia for larger production cuts.
