Carnival Cruise Line today announced that the industry is extending its "pause in service" in all of North America.

"We must share the disappointing news," Carnival posted.

Officials say they are "cancelling all cruises through September 30th."

Cruise lines had planned to resume sailing on September 15th.

"Your health and safety are important to us," Carnival said in the post.

They are offering refunds or cancellation offers.
