ecently, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard obtained arrest warrants for 2 Atlanta police officers in connection to the killing death of Rayshard Brooks. These charges range from felony murder to criminal damage to property.

During an earlier press conference, Howard presented a photo that showed Rayshard Brooks being kicked by officer Rolfe, who has been charged with felony murder.

DA Howard said the investigative process typically can take months, but cited the abundance of video evidence as to why his office only took days to seek and obtain arrest warrants.

When Howard was asked how he felt about reports that APD officers were calling in sick as an attempt to protest his office's handling of this case, he called it "troubling" and said it was indicative of the culture they are fighting.

Howard acknowledged threats have been made on his life, but said he is not afraid and is a man of faith who prays.

The District Attorney was asked if these charges carried a political move. He denied any political motive and reminded listeners that his office has led the US in officer prosecutions for years.
