Danziger Bridge closed this morning at 9am as inspections and light repairs to 30+ year old span take place.
According to DOTD, the roadway will close at 9am and reopen 3pm every afternoon until next Monday.
Drivers headed eastbound can use I-10 over the highrise to Downman to get around the closure.
Westbound drivers can use I-10 from Chef Highway over to Louisa.
DOTD asks drivers to use caution getting around the closure and reminds them to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
