A body was found at the Walmart at the Kenner - Metairie line late last night.
"There was a body found behind the Walmart by a Walmart employee," Kenner Police Lieutenant Michael Cunningham told WWL First News.
He explained that it appeared the victim was a homeless man who was living between stacks of pallets behind the store in the 8900 block of Veterans Blvd.
"The body was badly decomposed," he explained. "Apparently at some point he became pinned between the pallets."
Cunningham says no one knew he was there and more pallets were stacked around him.
"When the pallets were eventually moved, that's when the body was found... he had been living there for some time."
Police do not suspect foul play.
