The debate over the use of blackface during Mardi Gras will be the subject of a town hall forum this evening.
Take Em Down Nola and Zulu are expected to talk about the practice tonight at 6:30 at the Carver Theater.
Take Em Down Nola called on Zulu to stop wearing black face paint during Mardi Gras, but the social aid and pleasure club rejected the call... insisting there is nothing racist about the makeup.
The group says it is very different than other uses of blackface.
