Denham Springs drug bust ends with 2 arrested

A major drug bust in Denham Springs ends with two people arrested.

A press release says on Monday, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Baton Rouge Police Department conducted a joint narcotics investigation. These arrests are a result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the area. 

Sheriff Jason Ard says, “Working together in these types of joint investigations leads to success in targeting large drug dealers who are poisoning our communities.”

Sheriff’s deputies seized 7 pounds of Methamphetamine, 152 doses of MDMA (XTC), and 85 doses of Alprazolam (Xanax).

Combined the drugs have a street value of about  $161,000.
