Three players with Louisiana ties are going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Ed Reed, who dominated defensive backfields and won a Super Bowl as a Baltimore Raven, made it in his first year of eligibility.

LSU standout Kevin Mawae was also selected for enshrinement. He played for the Fighting Tigers from 1989 to 1993, and was part of the offensive lines of the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans.

Johnny Robinson is a senior selectee. Robinson played for LSU's 1958 National Champion football team, and later played for the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs from 1960-1971, and helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl IV in Tulane Stadium.

Tight end Tony Gonzales and cornerbacks Champ Bailey and Ty Law were the other three modern-era selectees. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and Cowboys and NFL executive Gil Brandt were selected as contributors.
