Disney has announced a launch date and price for its streaming service, and it's poised to deliver a blow to Netflix with a lot of content for relatively little money.

The Mouse House will charge $6.99 a month, or $69.99 a year, for the ad-free service set to begin November 12.

The company had previously announced that it's making almost all of its content available on the service, including the animated classics from the "Disney Vault," the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and LucasFilm, which includes all Star Wars and Indiana Jones titles.

And with the company's recent acquisition of Fox, Disney+ will be the exclusive streaming site for The Simpsons and National Geographic.

In addition to it's pre-existing titles, Disney is also producing original content for the service. Projects already announced include The Mandalorian, a live-action Star Wars series that's being run by Iron Man director John Favreux. Another Star Wars series is in development that features Rogue One character Cassian Andor.

The service will feature a series based on Pixar's Monsters, Inc., with John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprising their roles as James "Sully" Sullivan and Mike Wazowski.

The company is also producing spin-off series based on characters from the Marvel universe, with the actors from the film series reprising their role for the small screen. Projects announced include Loki, a series starring Tom Hiddleston as Thor's trickster-god brother, Falcon & Winter Soldier which will star New Orleans native Anthony Mackie alongside Sebastian Stan as Captain America's buddies, and WandaVision, a team-up featuring Elizabeth Olson's Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany's Vision. The studio is also developing a series around Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye character.

Some Disney titles won't be available on the streaming service immediately, due to pre-existing licensing agreement, but its 2019 releases are expected to hit there first, including Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Toy Story 4
